We exist to promote healing, positive cultural identity, holistic wellness and connection among intergenerational Indigenous women and our families by sharing our collective wisdom, traditions, wellness practices and stories.

We focus on healing by reclaiming our cultural heritages through sewing, beading, sharing circles, ceremonies and working together to create culturally significant clothing for use in traditional ceremonies, pow wows and community gatherings.

As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (EIN 61-1609588), Heartbeat Family Support Services believes every Native child in foster care deserves to thrive in a caring and secure family environment, ensure their cultural heritage is acknowledged and integrated into their daily living.

Our goal is to provide a holistic support network that addresses the diverse cultural needs, challenges, advocacy and support needed by our Native children, their foster/kinship/relative care providers.

Hiráaca Maa Aru Cáawi

The mission of Hiraaca Maa Aru Caawi is to revitalize the Hiraaca Language and through it, transmit Hiraaca lifeways (Maa Aru Caawi) to future generations. Our focus service population will be the Indigenous population of the Fort Berthold Reservation, surrounding areas and region, though we plan to partner with a myriad of organizations and groups to inform our work and help provide the programming, education and assistance.

We serve American Indian and Alaska Native foster youth, ages 0-17 and any sibling set. We seek to ensure that cultural identities are preserved and valued, by offering a safe and secure home as a resource to promote adequate developmental growth that fosters cultural preservation. Tribal Oak Tree (TOT)Foster Family Agency Resource Families provide loving, nurturing homes with an emphasis on American Indian/ Alaska Native (AI/AN) culture, traditions, and customs for AI/AN youth who are in foster care. TOT has two office locations that provide services to San Diego, Sacramento, and the Surrounding counties.

Ilisagvik College

Iḷisaġvik College is an accredited, Tribal community college that provides quality post-secondary academic, vocational, and technical education aimed at matching workforce needs. The College is dedicated to perpetuating and strengthening Iñupiat culture, language, values, and traditions and building strong communities through education and training. Iḷisaġvik College was incorporated in 1996, received accreditation in 2003, and became Alaska’s only Tribal College in 2005. The College provides programming that directly benefits employers and employees in the North Slope region. The College also offers outreach programs such as cooperative extension and pre-college/youth programming, as well as adult education classes (GED), and cultural learning opportunities. Iḷisaġvik is a bastion on the North Slope, providing many services and excellent education to help serve and advance our communities.
